Therapy fitted to your situation
Your therapist draws on different approaches depending on what you’re dealing with and what you want from therapy. These three come up often, and each works well over video.
EMDR
For trauma, PTSD, grief, and memories that still feel too close.
Your therapist guides eye movements or self-tapping on screen while you briefly hold a memory in mind. Many clients do this work over video with good results. Clients often notice the memory is still there, but it stops pulling them back in.
About EMDR therapy →IFS
For anxiety, self-criticism, people-pleasing, and patterns that keep repeating.
Internal Family Systems helps you get to know the protective parts of you that took on these jobs for good reasons. Sessions are quiet and conversational. Over time, the inner critic tends to soften and you have more say in how you respond.
What is IFS therapy? →CBT
For anxiety, depression, and stress that’s running your days.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is practical and structured. You’ll look at the thoughts and habits keeping you stuck and practice specific tools between sessions. You keep using them after therapy ends.
Depending on what you need, we also bring in attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, somatic work, solution-focused therapy, and other approaches. We’ll talk through what fits in your consultation.
